Shubhra Sharma is an experienced corporate and securities attorney, skilled in helping clients navigate through various stages of the business life cycle. Shubhra excels in advising companies and funds on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital financings as well as handling a broad spectrum of strategic transactions such as asset sales, reorganizations, joint ventures, and leveraged buyouts.
Shubhra has worked at law firms in California, New York, and India, providing her with a broad perspective on multiple legal environments. Prior to joining WMA, Shubhra worked as a corporate attorney with Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian, LLP. Shubhra’s previous experience also includes working with India’s premier law firm, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., where she focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate advisory.
Shubhra received her LL.M. in Banking, Corporate, and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law in New York in 2019 and her first degree in law from ILS Law College in India in 2012. Shubhra is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and India.
In addition to her corporate practice, Shubhra is passionate about pro bono work and has represented several nonprofits, microbusinesses, and entrepreneurs to help them set up their businesses in San Diego. Shubhra was awarded the 2021-2022 Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services and the Outstanding Service Award from the Legal Aid Society of San Diego in recognition of her pro bono services to the community. Shubhra is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association’s New Lawyer Division where she serves as Community Outreach Co-Chair.
Shubhra speaks English and Hindi fluently. In her free time, Shubhra likes to hike with her German Shepherd dogs.
